We have owned this house in France since 2008, initially as a holiday home. It is located in a quiet hamlet, consisting mainly of permanently inhabited houses. Since 2014, it has also been rented out as a gîte, while we live 4 km away. The house has been left authentic wherever possible to preserve the French atmosphere. However, modern comforts have been added: all windows have been replaced with hardwood double-glazed windows, the 4 skylights with double glazing, and the roof has been insulated. Many walls have been exposed and repointed, leaving the natural stone wall visible. The wooden roof structure has also been kept visible as much as possible. On the ground floor, you enter into the dining room, with the kitchen extending from it. Next to the kitchen is a toilet. Authentic doors lead into the spacious living room. From the living room, you can return outside onto the terrace via French doors. The beautiful staircase leads to the upper floor with a landing, 3 bedrooms, and a bathroom. The bathroom features a spacious shower, washbasin, and the second toilet.

The enclosed terrace and the small garden are fenced. Opposite the house lies our barn, with 3 spacious parking spaces in front of it. We have not carried out any work on the barn, and it is used solely as a storage area. 20 meters further on, at the edge of the hamlet and behind our back neighbours' house, we have another nice meadow with an unobstructed view of the fields and the Loire Valley.

The feedback from the many guests who have stayed here since 2014 is all positive: it is a very spacious holiday home that is also suitable for permanent residence. We are offering the house including furnishings. In other words, you could continue our rental activities and have a wonderful holiday home on top of that, allowing you to truly feel like you're living the good life.
